Bomarea caldasii

Tuberous rooted herbaceous and evergreen climber, related to the Alstroemeria's. The long lasting flowers are carried in large ball shaped clusters and are a rich orange usually during summer but I have known it to flower at all different times of the year. Any soil in full light, hardy outdoors as far up country as Manchester, the roots do require some winter protection. I have not found Bomarea caldasii a success in pots.
